Roofing felt seconds are brand new rolls of roofing felt that have been downgraded by the manufacturer (such as IKO) due to minor cosmetic imperfections or packaging damage. They provide exactly the same waterproofing performance as grade-A stock, but at a significantly reduced trade price.
Why are they classed as seconds?
Common reasons include red paint markings on the edge of the roll, slight mineral colour variations, minor scuffs, or damaged wrappers. None of these affect the integrity or waterproofing ability of the felt.
Are they unused?
Yes. They are brand new, unrolled, and unused.
What are returns?
Returns are rolls that were ordered and sent back to the manufacturer, often due to over-ordering or cancelled projects. They are checked for quality before being resold.
Are they waterproof?
Absolutely. They offer the exact same waterproofing capabilities as standard stock. They are structurally sound.
Can I buy pallet quantities?
Yes, we offer excellent pallet prices for trade buyers and large projects.
Can I collect from Carlisle or get delivery?
Yes, collection is available from our Carlisle warehouse, and we also offer UK delivery.
